Overview
This is a repeatable production system that turns a single conversation, webinar, interview, or recording into coordinated assets across channels. The story is the production model, not a gallery of videos. TimTalks is a public example of the system in use.
Problem
Multimedia is expensive to produce and easy to treat as one-off. Without a repeatable model, every episode restarts from scratch, production quality drifts, and the source recording produces one asset instead of many.
My role
I produce the program: scripting support, recording, podcast, webinar, and video production, video and audio editing, motion graphics, lower thirds, graphics and thumbnails, publishing, YouTube content, repurposing, promotional and supporting assets, and social distribution support.
Hosts, guests, subject-matter experts, and stakeholders contribute source material and messaging. Hosting, guest coordination, and broader topic planning are shared, not solely owned.
Approach
Treat the source recording as an input to a pipeline. Standardize the production specifications (lower-third sizing, fade timing, safe zones) so quality is consistent. Define how one recording becomes an episode, clips, descriptions, thumbnails, and social assets. Connect each piece back to the campaign or product theme it supports.
What I built and did
- A repeatable production specification for recurring multimedia
- Podcast, webinar, and video production and editing workflows
- Motion graphics, lower thirds, thumbnails, and graphics standards
- A source-to-derivative repurposing workflow (one recording → many assets)
- Publishing and YouTube workflows
- Promotional and social-distribution support tied to campaigns
Selected artifacts
Artifacts to add: thumbnail and lower-third samples, an episode clip, a source-to-derivative diagram, and promotional creative, alongside the production specification.Outcome
Recurring podcast, video, and webinar programs run on a shared production specification, and each source recording now produces an episode plus clips, thumbnails, descriptions, and social assets rather than a single deliverable. Audience and engagement reporting is handled by the wider marketing team.
Tools
Adobe Premiere Pro, After Effects, Audition, Media Encoder, Photoshop, Illustrator, OBS, and YouTube.
Reflection / key takeaway
The leverage in multimedia is not the camera. It is a pipeline that makes the next episode consistent and turns one recording into a week of assets.
